Your Computer

Computers come in all shapes and sizes. When it comes to online gaming, as long as you meet the games "recommended requirements" which are located on the game box, your computer will work fine !

Right  your first step into the online gaming world starts at home with your computer or Personal Computer (PC) as it is commonly known. You don't need a top of the range PC, but you do need a PC that matches the games' "recommended requirements". These are printed on the back of the game boxes. You can get away with some tweaking (lowering graphics detail etc.) but at the end of the day try not to buy a game unless you meet the minimum requirements.

Luckily upgrading your machine is very easy and can be cheap if you shop around. However most PCs bought within the last year should be more than powerful enough to handle the latest games. Some classics like Half-Life only require low specification PCs to play and are highly popular online.
