Your Chosen Game

Now you've ripped the packaging off and stuck the game CD in your machine. Once the game is installed you have a number of steps to go through before playing online.

Load the game, and head to the configuration area where you can setup your keys and play with the options to suit you. Play the game's training modes. Here you will pick up key skills - make sure you complete all the training on offer. If there is a single player option use it. Get some experience of the game before going online. Get the latest patches. Patches are released to add new features to the game and to fix any bugs. You need the latest patches to play online.

You can find patch lists and download links on the BarrysWorld files page, or you can usually find them on the cover discs of the latest games magazines (in some cases this is a better method due to the size of some of the patches).

Tools of the Trade - The Mouse and Keyboard

How to use the mouse & keyboard combination. - This will open a window outlining the way to using your mouse and keyboard, and what keys are commonly used. You'll need to master this to play well online, and after a few goes you'll get used to it and it will become second nature.

Once you have the latest patches installed take one last look at the game. Double check everything is ok and then connect to the internet...
