3. Adding the BarrysWorld servers to GameSpy

 
  Adding BarrysWorld 'master server Lists'
  A master server holds the address's of all the
  individual servers for the chosen game.

Right click on the Half-life tab, and enter the address of the master server shown (above).

Seeing the servers
By now you should have a button on the left menu labeled BarrysWorld under the Half-Life tab. To see the servers on the master first right click on the BarrysWorld master server which you have added, and select 'Update'. GameSpy will then download the list of servers from the BarrysWorld master. Once done they will refresh to show the 'ping times' (how fast the connection to you is), and other details about the them.

New servers are added all the time so 'Update' your list at least once a month to ensure you have a fresh server list.

Joining a server
Before joining a server check:

1. You have the latest version of Half-Life and Counter Strike. Patch lists can be found here. 

2. There are free spaces for you to join.

Filtering the servers
To make it easier to pick out the BarrysWorld servers from the sea of servers on the master unzip this file: http://guides.barrysworld.com/gamespy/filters.zip ~1KB into your gamespy directory and then:

1. Load GameSpy. Go to "View" then "custom tab..." Then select "Import..."
2. Double click on a filter (Do this for each filter if you want both installed).

Once done click the drop down "Only show these servers" box, and select the filter you have just installed. All servers will now be filtered to show only the BarrysWorld servers.

4. Problems

If you have any trouble connecting to the BarrysWorld servers then email support@barrysworld.com and describe the problem you had. Also include the name of the game and the servers you had trouble with.
